The manga ends on a cliffhanger that leads into the next arc of the story, introducing the mysterious "Lucky Owl Water" and promising our favorite magical redhead a chance to kick some butt. Tsuruno is a fun character, although bratty new girl Felicia only shows up in the last chapter.along with Kyoko Sakura, who's been alerted to the goings-on in Kamihama by Mami, still her best friend in this timeline. The action scenes are decent, and the arrival of the Doppels (self-summoned Witches) adds an intriguing twist to the storyline. This volume is mostly more of the same some stage-setting, a bit of character development - we particularly learn about Iroha's strained relationship with her parents, which caused her to lean on Ui as her main source of support - and some spooky Witch.sorry, Rumor labyrinths.

Along with boisterous Puella Magi Tsuruno, the duo battle the Rumor which results in Iroha's Soul Gem being depleted.and she's corrupted into a Witch that defeats the Rumor! Only Iroha returns to human form afterwards, baffling her friends and horrifying Mami Tomoe, who makes an ill-timed entrance to skirmish with our heroines. The Magia Record manga continues in its third volume, as Iroha and Yachiyo investigate a "Seance Shrine Rumor" that lures its victims by offering visions of lost loved ones - in Iroha's case sister Ui, for Yachiyo her long-missing magical friend Mifuyu.
